What I mean by this is that the higher the economic standing of a individual the more likely they are to commit non-violent crimes and more likely they are to commit crimes like identity theft or some such. In other words it's far less likely for a millionaire to rob a gas station at gunpoint.\r\n\r\nIn other words for all sides if you want to reduce violent crimes theoretically your best shot at this would be promote higher living standards through economic means.","author":"38b55cdf63616403d7560600"},{"id":"53e3fabf636872691de50000","topic_id":"5161dd617f123bd25900013d","body":"\"you just got breaded\":https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ai2c5vZGOs","author":"5154c5237f123bcd580002fc"},{"id":"53e3fb356368722a6d0a0000","topic_id":"5161dd617f123bd25900013d","body":"\"@uc9\":/dis/the-time-wasting-thread/post/53e3fa696368726d46900100#\r\nWhich is not anyone disagrees with. Sometimes you do need oversight and sometimes you do need to use subsidies. *SOMETIMES* What I mean by this is for a company that is a nuclear energy company they need some huge fucking regulations cause the last time the USA was lack with safety regulation three mile island happened. Other times lax oversight is good. It's really on a case by case basis of what is the industry and whether or not they are economically unstable. Economically unstable sectors and sectors that have very real dangers to human risk need far more regulation in general.\r\n\r\nSometimes subsidies and bail outs are good and sometime they're bad. The wall street bail out made me rage cause yes they needed a bail out, but they didn't need that hundred billion dollars; they only needed a couple hundred million dollars; there's a massive difference between a hundred billion dollars and a hundred million dollars. You should have heard how many profanities I said when I found out they were getting a hundred billion dollars. If I had a swear jar I could have bought a new car. A example of a good subsidy is solar roadways; right now the company developing this has received subsidies to help the company with their research and thanks to the research being done chances are we'll have a cheap energy source in the next decade. A example of a bad subsidy is when a monopoly receives a subsidy.","author":"38b55cdf63616403d7560600"},{"id":"53e3ff2c6368720a5a6a0100","topic_id":"5161dd617f123bd25900013d","body":"Guess I'll have to try to take him down.\r\n\r\n*Puts on the Ultra eye*\r\n\r\nDUWA!\r\n\r\n*Becomes Ultra seven*","author":"5062d6f17f123b3e16001184"},{"id":"53e4014a63687241e6cf0000","topic_id":"5161dd617f123bd25900013d","body":"\"@uc9\":/dis/the
