The main character is a vampire, but even though she is five hundred years old she's a full blown adult with a job and even though her wife is a human their relationship isn't emotionally abusive like twilight and part of the story revolves around them working together as a team to help make sure their kid is safe.  The type of warrior she is a knight.  So basically imagine Saber from fate/stay as a vampire but instead of defending her partner part of the story is about them working together as equals.
