We already have prosthetics that can outperform natural limbs; they're just really really expensive.  Personally I give it a little under a decade until we got sci fi like cybernetics cause we do have the technology for fake skin that a person can feel; it's just in the experimental alpha stage.\r\n\r\nThe DOD is actually looking into developing for this for veterans and so forth actually; restoring mobility to disabled veterans.
