You constantly hear about how \"society's going downhill\" or people are \"losing their morals\", but considering that shit like rape was considered a perfectly acceptable war tactic or tossing hundreds of people onto spikes while still alive was considered acceptable I'd have to massively disagree with that in that most countries have much higher standards of morality than back in the day.\r\n\r\nUp until 2007 slavery was still legal in Mauritania and slavery was made illegal in 2003 in Niger.
