To use a far less extreme analogy it's like the people who think every country cars should drive on the left side of the road and believes that most countries drive on the left side of the road even when directly contradicted with it.\r\n\r\nThe reason why so much shit in the past seems stupid is that the people who religiously believed the ideals all have died of old age.
