Hypothetically if you were to severe the Borg's connections with each other they legitimately would be incapable of functioning.\r\n\r\nThat was actually a episode of Star Trek: the next generation where a child Borg was learning about humans and they had the opportunity to completely kill all the Borg because the Borg were physically incapable of severing their connections with each other.  One little paradox in the Borg's network would have killed every last one of the Borg.
