The closest thing I can compare it to is tot he Godzilla '98 film-WAIT!\r\n\r\nYes, as a Godzilla movie is awful and it totally misses the point of what Godzilla is supposed to be, but if you pass that, it's not  abad monster flick, and you actually find it entertaining in some parts, so it's not that much of hating the movie, as much as hating the name it's associated with.
